Job DescriptionWe’re seeking RNs with USGIV experience for full‑time roles, with paid training into PICC line insertion.
If you’re looking to step away from the fast pace of bedside nursing while continuing to make an impact, this role offers evening/night scheduling options including 2 PM–2 AM, 3 PM–3 AM, or 4 PM–4 AM shifts. Experienced PICC nurses welcome (Per Diem or Full‑Time).
As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. Key Responsibilities- Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
- Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
- Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices
- Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including port access, line removal, declotting, etc.
- Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and other CVADs
Eligible for $10,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.
SchedulingIn this role, consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel and able to fulfill scheduling requirements based on business needs. The role offers evening and overnight coverage with shifts such as 2 PM–2 AM, 3 PM–3 AM, or 4 PM–4 AM. Full‑time scheduling requires three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation. Part‑time (Per Diem) requires a minimum of four scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.
Trainingand Experience Requirements
- Ideal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound‑guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions.
- Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience.
- Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills.
- Registered Nurse with current license
- American Heart BLS Certification
- Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience placing ultrasound‑guided IVs (USGIVs)
- Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
- Must possess a smartphone
- Minimum of 3 years of acute‑care RN experience
- Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
- Prior vascular access or PICC experience preferred
Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
Hourly Pay Range: $60 – $75 USD
