Role Overview
Independent contractor RN providing nursing consultation services for a licensed 6-bed Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in San Rafael, CA.
Responsibilities- Complete routine health assessments, including resident vital signs
- Review medications and Medication Administration Records (MARs)
- Monitor residents' health status and identify follow-up needs
- Consult with Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and management
- Complete required monthly and quarterly nursing reports
- Provide medical consultation and telephone consultation for urgent medical/medication questions as needed
- Train newly hired staff on medication administration and evaluate medication competency
- Help ensure compliance with applicable ICF regulations and standards
- Current California RN license in good standing
- Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Experience with ICFs/residential services or individuals with I/DD (preferred)
- Knowledge of California ICF regulations (plus)
- Current California RN license in good standing
