About the PositionThis is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a passionate and innovative team. We are looking for Bilingual Spanish/English therapists to join our behavioral health programs, specifically Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors. There is one (1) vacancy within Adult System of Care, B.R.I.D.G.E. Program and bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are required.
The B.R.I.D.G.E. Program offers recovery oriented and strengths‑based services to residents of Marin that are 18 years of age or older, who are diagnosed with serious mental illness, may have co-occurring disorders, and require the services of a multi‑disciplinary team to promote their path to recovery and wellbeing.
Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Unit Supervisor, the practitioner provides case management services to adult clients who suffer from chronic mental health issues and substance use issues and who may be medically complex. The practitioner also provides initial and ongoing clinical assessment, including making a determination of level of care, treatment planning, and acting as a client advocate when the client is unable to advocate for themselves.
The practitioner works collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary team of highly skilled professionals and is responsible for keeping electronic medical records current and for meeting monthly productivity standards.
Bilingual proficiency exam will be administered to ensure the candidate possess the appropriate skill level to meet the requirements.
About You – Our Highly Qualified CandidateThe ideal candidate has prior experience conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including lethality and risk assessments, and developing practical, actionable treatment or safety plans. The candidate has experience in case coordination, especially within multi‑disciplinary teams, and understands the legal and ethical issues involved in behavioral health services. Ideally, this person demonstrates cultural competence and sensitivity to diversity, with experience working with underrepresented communities, particularly Latinx families facing unique challenges like language barriers, acculturation, and limited resources.
You thrive in dynamic, diverse environments, and you’re motivated to make a difference for communities impacted by systemic challenges like violence, poverty, and trauma.
The ideal candidate has the ability to work independently and is self‑directed as well as work well with a team of highly skilled professionals. Excellent judgment and decision‑making skills, a strong knowledge of community resources, and excellent computer and documentation skills are required, in addition to excellent work habits. The ideal candidate will be able to work successfully in a high volume, fast‑paced work environment and be able to manage psychiatric crisis.
The ideal candidate will understand the importance of collaboration, and will strive to have strong working relationships with team members.
The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively with psychiatric emergency services, acute psychiatric hospital units and long‑term psychiatric care facilities.
