About the job
You'll own a core service in our production orchestration stack including fleet coordination, agentic job scheduling, telemetry ingestion, or the control plane. Our systems are heavily agentic by design: the factory is run by long-horizon agents operating in concert across a distributed system. You'll be responsible for building, deploying, and scaling these agents directly into production.
This is a full-time, in-office role at our San Rafael office. Joining us means stepping into a rapid-iteration, early-stage environment.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and scale long-horizon production agents designed to navigate real-world failure modes gracefully.
Take end-to-end ownership of a core system that our live factory environment depends on.
Ship high-impact production code iteratively and safely into a live physical environment.
Take decisive ownership of critical architectural decisions, including event topology, multi-agent coordination patterns, and telemetry schemas.
- Able to work full-time, in-person in San Rafael, CA.
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms applied within a live, production-scale environment.
- A degree in Computer Engineering, AI, or a related scientific field.
- Experience deploying long-horizon agents within a distributed system using modern orchestration frameworks (e.g., Anthropic tool-use/MCP, OpenAI function calling, Lang Graph, CrewAI, Pydantic-AI, Smola Gents, or custom vLLM stacks).
- Daily fluency with multi-agent AI software engineering tool chains (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Devin, Windsurf, or similar).
- Equity: Meaningful early-stage equity (targeted at the 90th to 95th percentile of pre-seed peer compensation).
At Autonomous Production, you'll join a dynamic team that values innovation, creativity, and a bit of fun. You'll have a direct impact on our industrial robotics products and be part of a forward-looking company that's shaping the future of automation.
