Interim Senior Accounting Manager

Our client, an established industrial equipment company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accounting Manager to support day?to?day accounting operations during a period of organizational growth and process transformation. This position is hybrid, with on?site expectations 3 days per week in Fremont, CA. This engagement has an expected duration of 3 months.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across accounting functions.
• Lead month?end and quarter?end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for management.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Partner cross?functionally with operations and divisional leaders to support informed decision?making.
• Assist with external audit preparation and serve as a point of contact for auditors.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, documentation, and reporting efficiency.
• Support integration activities for newly acquired business units, including financial consolidation and process alignment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or team?management responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Experience in operationally complex environments such as distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.
