How You’ll Make an ImpactThe Accounting Director will oversee key accounting functions, strengthen departmental processes, and lead a hybrid, full‑time team (3 days in office, 2 days remote). This role requires ownership, accuracy, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Salary range is $90,000–$100,000 per year.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage and support key accounting department functions to ensure accurate, efficient, on‑schedule work.
- Supervise, mentor, and support accounting team members, clarifying priorities, resolving questions, and promoting accountability.
- Review departmental workflows and identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce errors.
- Help establish, document, and maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and best practices.
- Monitor team workload, deadlines, and deliverables to meet department goals and service expectations.
- Collaborate with accounting leadership and cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues and enhance communication.
- Analyze accounting processes and reports to identify trends, exceptions, risks, or areas needing follow‑up.
- Assist with training, onboarding, and development of accounting staff to strengthen team knowledge and consistency.
- Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives supporting the growth and effectiveness of the accounting department.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Self‑starter with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Client focus and ability to work well with customers directly.
