Accounting Analyst

Description We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to support day-to-day financial operations for a Financial Services organization in San Ramon, California. This is a fully remote, Long-term Contract opportunity suited for someone who is comfortable managing transactional accounting tasks with accuracy and consistency. The role will focus on receivables, cash application, payables support, and routine financial processing while contributing to additional assignments as business needs arise.

Responsibilities:

- Review, prepare, and process accounts receivable transactions to maintain timely and accurate financial records.

- Apply cash receipts and reconcile incoming payments against customer accounts and supporting documentation.

- Support accounts payable activities, including handling invoices and assisting with payment-related processing.

- Generate, print, and organize recurring financial reports required for weekly accounting operations.

- Manage assigned service or accounting tickets and complete follow-up actions within established timelines.

- Perform account reconciliation activities to identify discrepancies and help maintain ledger accuracy.

- Complete billing-related tasks and assist with routine accounting functions across the team.

- Participate in training on company software platforms during the initial onboarding period and use those systems effectively in daily work.

- Contribute to special projects or ad hoc assignments as operational priorities evolve. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in an accounting, finance, or closely related role.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a similar field.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general accounting practices.

- Experience with account reconciliation and cash receipt processing.

- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while managing recurring deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data and documentation.

- Comfortable learning new software tools and applying training to daily accounting tasks.
