Special Inspector Group 2We are seeking a Special Inspector Group 2 to join our San Ramon, CA team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Ensure that the services provided are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract with the client.
- Ensure procedures followed & materials utilized conform to contract documents & applicable codes.
- Examine finished work to ensure compliance w/ regulations governing construction.
- Prepare samples of approved or unapproved materials for testing.
- Perform calculations relative to inspection requirements.
- Write daily field reports.
AWS-CWI / UT Special Inspectors:
- Must have a minimum of CWI (AWS) and/or NDE (Non-Destructive examinations) certifications required.
- Construction industry experience.
- Knowledge of state and local building codes, D1.1, International Code Council - ICC, ordinances, and regulations.
- Ability to calculate functions of rectangles, triangles, circles, volumes, weights, lengths, percents, fractions, and decimals.
- Understanding of building mode standards, terminology, and construction methods.
- Ability to follow Construction Site Safety Precautions.
- Familiar with occupational health and safety standards, inspection methods and procedures.
- Must be able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, permit requirements, special provisions, memorandums, and test reports.
- OSHA 10 Hour Course completed w/ certification.
- Lift up to 50 Lbs.
ICC Special Inspector:
- Must possess one or more of the following ICC
Certifications:
Reinforced Concrete, Pre-stressed Concrete, Steel Welding & Bolting, Structural Masonry, and/or Fireproofing. - Must have strong communications skills and be able to use applications on a smart phone or tablet.
- Must be able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, permit requirements, special provisions, memorandums, and test reports. Ability to write daily reports.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to follow Construction Site Safety Precautions.
- Familiar with occupational health and safety standards, inspection methods and procedures.
- OSHA 10 Hour Course completed w/ certification.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
$61 - $61.39 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
