Development Coordinator
MHW Search is partnering with an established residential land developer and home builder to identify a Development Coordinator for its Land Operations team in San Ramon. This is a strong opportunity for someone with 2-5 years of experience in land development, homebuilding, or construction who wants broader exposure to the full development process. The position will work closely with Development Managers and senior land leadership across active master-planned communities throughout Northern California.
The role will support land development operations across contracts, construction administration, permitting, utilities, bidding, project coordination, budgeting, and CFD reimbursement processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate land development design and construction contracts, change orders, and related documentation
- Support construction bidding, procurement, RFQs and bid analysis
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, municipalities, utilities and homebuilders
- Assist with engineering, planning, permitting and infrastructure coordination
- Track project costs, budgets, invoices and construction reimbursements
- Support CFD bidding, documentation and reimbursement processes
- Maintain project plans, permits, approvals and development records
- Assist Development Managers through construction, finished-lot delivery and project turnover
Ideal background:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in land development, residential homebuilding, construction, or purchasing
- Exposure to land development operations, construction administration or project coordination
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with project budgets and documentation
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active projects
- Comfortable coordinating across internal teams, consultants, contractors and public agencies
- Degree in business, engineering, urban planning or a related discipline preferred
