Associate Packaging Engineer

• Responsible for packaging development for new product launches, reformulations, and product modifications, including sourcing within target cost, engineering, development, testing, and shipping.
• Ensure that all package testing and validation happens according to protocol and specifications (primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging).
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Creative, Product Development, and Operations to ensure success.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers including packaging suppliers, contract manufacturers (CMs), and 3PL providers.
• Improve and optimize the quality and performance of existing core products; track packaging quality issues, determine root causes, implement CAPAs, and monitor in-market response.

• Bachelor's Degree in Package Engineering or other related engineering fields.
• 2-4 years of experience in package development project work or equivalent, preferably in skincare, cosmetics, consumer goods, or related field.
• Strong technical drawing review, evaluation, and approval.
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

This is a hybrid role where you are required to be in the office 1 day per week and 1 extra day per month. If the role requires you to be in the office to complete your job function, you are required to be in the office. The office is located in San Ramon, CA.

$64,000 - $85,000

The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on factors including geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.
