Office is located in San Ramon, CA.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Geotechnical design and analysis for shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, slopes, seepages, and lateral earth pressures.
  • Geotechnical earthquake engineering analyses, including ground motion, site response, deformation, SSI, liquefaction, and lateral spreading.
  • Planning, installation, monitoring, and interpretation of subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Project, resource, and staff management, including report preparation and proposal support.
  • Construction observation of foundations, drilled shafts, pile driving and other earthworks.
  • Collaboration on building and infrastructure design, client relationship development, and professional community participation.

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering;
    Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • Have minimum 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering practice with an emphasis on geotechnical design and analysis, geotechnical field investigation, and construction supervision.
  • Are a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based working.
  • Have extensive geotechnical background with fundamental knowledge of geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, pavement engineering, and groundwater hydrogeology.
  • Have experience with software including slope stability, pile modeling, and site response tools.
  • Are familiar with DSA/CGS and Caltrans standards, guidelines, and deliverables.
  • Have experience in construction oversight for foundation construction and earthwork observation.
