ITOM Developer & Integration SME
An ITOM (IT Operations Management) Developer and Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) designs, implements, and integrates ITOM solutions to provide end to end visibility, automation, and operational efficiency across IT infrastructure and services.
Key ResponsibilitiesITOM Development
- Design, configure, and customize ITOM modules (Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, AIOps, Cloud Observability)
- Develop scripts, workflows, and automation using platform-native tools (e.g., scripts, flows, orchestration)
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for ITOM-related deployments
- Implement health dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics
- Design and implement bi-directional integrations with:
- Monitoring tools (Solar Winds, SCOM, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Prometheus)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Ticketing & ITSM tools
- CMDB data sources
- Use REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, MID Servers, and message queues
- Ensure data normalization, reconciliation, and CMDB data quality
- Act as the technical authority for ITOM architecture and integrations
- Define integration standards, patterns, and best practices
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and performance bottlenecks
- Support audits, compliance, and operational readiness

- Service Now ITOM (Discovery, Event Mgmt, Service Mapping, AIOps)
- BMC Helix, Micro Focus Ops Bridge (optional/alternate)
- REST / SOAP APIs
- JSON, XML
- Webhooks, MID Server architecture
- Event ingestion & correlation
- Orchestration & automation frameworks
- JavaScript (platform scripting)
- Python / Power Shell (for integrations & automation)
- SQL & CMDB data modeling
- Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Azure / AWS monitoring & integrations
- Kubernetes, containers, microservices
- Network & server infrastructure fundamentals
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 a year
