The Performance & Analytics team works on calculating, reporting, and effectively presenting performance and attribution metrics across investments leveraging modern OLAP and Columnar technologies. This includes analysis of returns, benchmark comparisons, and the factors contributing to performance. We are in search of a passionate Quality Engineer to play a critical role in validating and evolving our next generation performance & analytics platform, helping ensure accuracy, reliability, and confidence across sophisticated investment management workflows.

- Validate complex performance and analytics workflows across portfolio performance, attribution, benchmark, and reporting experiences
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to ensure business requirements are translated into high-quality client experiences
- Be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements and design reviews through implementation and production validation
- Develop and execute thoughtful test strategies focused on workflow accuracy, financial data integrity, and end-user confidence
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases, workflow inconsistencies, and business logic gaps across integrated financial systems
- Participate in the creation and construction of automated testing solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and release confidence
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve quality practices, testability, and risk mitigation throughout the development lifecycle
- Analyze customer-reported issues and production defects to identify root causes and drive long-term improvements
- Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly along the way
- Contribute to a collaborative environment deeply rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency
- 5+ years in a Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or related position validating complex SaaS applications
- Deep understanding of performance analytics methodologies and practical experience validating TWR, Brinson Attribution, benchmark analysis, and Profit & Loss calculations within investment management platforms
- Experience validating and triaging business‑critical workflows where accuracy, transparency, and data integrity are essential
- Familiarity working with APIs, databases, and automated testing frameworks
- Experience validating applications built on cloud native platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong analytical thinking with an aptitude for identifying workflow gaps and complex edge cases
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
- Willingness to learn about new technologies while simultaneously developing expertise in a business domain/problem space
- Understand the value of automated tests at all levels
- Ability to focus on short‑term deliverables while maintaining a big‑picture long term perspective
- Experience with Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT
- An aptitude for complex problem‑solving
- Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels
- Serious interest in having fun at work
- Buy‑side technology experience
- Experience validating ETL pipelines or large‑scale financial data workflows
- Experience with SQL and analytical databases such as OLAP or Columnar systems
- Experience testing highly data‑intensive analytics or reporting platforms
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is: $113,500‑$141,500. In select locations (including the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, and the New York City Metro Area), the typical starting salary range for this role is: $124,500‑$156,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
