Job Description:
Under the leadership of the Senior Applications Manager, the Application Analyst's primary role is to have a complete working knowledge of assigned application, to include an understanding of the assigned department workflows for the associated system build/configure, upgrade and release process. The Application Analyst will act as the primary support contact for the application and coordinate issues that arise in their area of responsibility and must be very knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations.
They will perform workflow analysis, data collection and report issues associated with the software. The Application Analyst will serve as a liaison between team, end users, third parties and technical staff. They will work with end users by participating in training and troubleshooting issues and questions. Completes complex work within a discipline or specialty area. Helps others understand the why and articulates the importance to others they work with.
Owns processes and continually incorporate feedback to improve them. Proactively audits process to improve before an issue occurs. Caters to individual styles and abilities. Teaches new skills. Helps talk through situations with operational stakeholders. Make recommendations for new functionality for issue avoidance or operation improvement. Pushes back when operations or IT is steering down the wrong path.
The IT Application Analyst for MyChart and Electronic Data Exchange will play a key role in the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Epic MyChart and electronic data exchange functionalities such as Care Everywhere, TEFCA, data exchange frameworks, and Epic Cosmos. This position focuses on improving patient engagement, ensuring seamless interoperability, and advancing population health management.
* Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic MyChart and electronic data exchange systems, including user roles, workflows, interfaces, and security settings.
* Manage electronic data exchange platforms, such as Care Everywhere, TEFCA, and related frameworks, ensuring compliance with interoperability standards.
* Explore and support the adoption of Epic Cosmos for advanced population health analytics.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and exchange of electronic health data between systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating to Epic as needed for advanced support.
* Participate in upgrades, testing, and new functionality deployments to enhance application performance.
* Develop workflows and templates to meet organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
* Act as a liaison between clinical teams, IT, and vendors to align application capabilities with business operations.
* Develop and generate reports and dashboards to measure performance, identify gaps, and highlight areas for improvement.
