Job DescriptionUnder the leadership of the Senior Applications Manager, the Application Analyst’s primary role is to have a complete working knowledge of assigned application, including an understanding of the associated system build, configure, upgrade and release process. The Application Analyst will act as the primary support contact for the application and coordinate issues that arise in their area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic MyChart and electronic data exchange systems, including user roles, workflows, interfaces, and security settings.
- Manage electronic data exchange platforms such as Care Everywhere, TEFCA, and related frameworks, ensuring compliance with interoperability standards.
- Explore and support the adoption of Epic Cosmos for advanced population health analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and exchange electronic health data between systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating to Epic as needed for advanced support.
- Participate in upgrades, testing, and new functionality deployments to enhance application performance.
- Develop workflows, templates, and reports to meet organizational needs, regulatory requirements, and performance metrics.
- Act as a liaison between clinical teams, IT staff, vendors, and end-users to align application capabilities with business operations.
- Provide training and support to end-users on MyChart and electronic data exchange workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including technical configurations, setup guides, and workflows.
- Assess and recommend solutions for system optimization and process improvement.
- Communicate build, configuration, and workflow improvements that solve broader organizational needs.
- Respond promptly to end-user needs, meeting defined service level agreements.
- 5-7 years of experience in the healthcare industry with proven application discipline knowledge.
- Master’s degree preferred; minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience.
- Certified in Epic MyChart; experience with Care Everywhere and Ambulatory modules preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both technical and business focused.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA.
- Experience with Epic build, configure, upgrade, and release processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficiency with data collection, reporting, and dashboard creation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with end-users, vendors, and clinical staff.
Work locations:
San Ramon, San Joaquin Valley, Sacramento, or Remote. Salary range: $125,000 – $155,000.
