• Lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for Service Max commercial and FedRAMP product areas
• Partner with Cyber Security and compliance leaders to implement security standards (including FedRAMP controls) and drive effective incident response
• Continuously improve operational processes, tooling, and on‑call practices to increase team efficiency and sustainability
• Coach and mentor engineers, set clear expectations, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture
• Drive infrastructure‑as‑code standards and self‑service automation (Terraform/Ansible) to improve consistency, auditability, and delivery speed
• Own capacity planning, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization (Fin Ops) for production workloads
• Partner with Engineering to improve deployment and change management practices (CI/CD, release readiness, rollback strategies) to reduce operational risk
• Work cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success to prioritize reliability work and align on operational roadmaps
• Evaluate and adopt AI‑assisted operations to improve signal‑to‑noise, accelerate incident triage, and identify recurring issues through intelligent analysis

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and production operations on AWS
• 7+ years of direct, hands‑on experience operating cloud production environments
• 3+ years of production experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building cloud automation using Terraform and Ansible
• In‑depth experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting
• Strong understanding of building and operating Dev Ops pipelines (CI/CD)
• Experience leveraging AI/ML to improve Tech Ops outcomes (e.g. anomaly detection, alert noise reduction, incident triage, and predictive capacity planning)
• Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability
• Ability to mentor, lead, and inspire others

• US citizenship
• Ability to commute to San Ramon office 2–3 days a week
