Job Summary Our client, a leading energy and utility provider, is seeking a Computer Field Analyst (Application Support Analyst I) to join its IT Field Support team. This position will support the company’s annual technology lifecycle initiative, replacing and configuring aging Dell computers for employees throughout the Bay Area. The ideal candidate has hands‑on familiarity with Windows computers, strong customer service skills, and the patience to support employees with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Fully onsite with possible travel to company offices throughout the Bay Area - Interview Process:
One virtual or in‑person interview with the supervisor and Lead Computer Field Analyst - This position is W‑2 only.
- We do not work with third‑party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.
- Coordinate and complete lifecycle replacements for Dell desktops, laptops, and related equipment
- Schedule device upgrades around employee availability and communicate throughout the replacement process
- Image, configure, install, and validate Windows 11 devices and required applications
- Assist employees with One Drive files, user profiles, hidden files, and data‑transfer requirements
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, installation, peripheral, network, and mobile‑device issues
- Document lifecycle activity, update internal databases, and maintain accurate service records
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate Tier 3 or specialized support teams
- Hands‑on familiarity with Windows 11 computers and operating‑system functionality
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, installation, or peripheral issues
- Strong customer service experience supporting people with varying technical abilities and personalities
- Familiarity with Dell desktops, laptops, or comparable enterprise computing devices
- Ability to manage schedules, track assignments, and maintain accurate documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient, professional approach
- Local to the San Ramon/Pleasanton area and available for full‑time onsite work and regional office travel
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- 1+ years of desktop support, field support, help desk, or face‑to‑face technical support experience
- Experience with computer imaging, device deployment, hardware refresh, or lifecycle replacement projects
- Familiarity with Microsoft One Drive, Microsoft 365, file migration, and user‑profile data
- Knowledge of Windows commands and tools used to locate hidden files and user‑profile content
- Experience working in an enterprise IT or network environment
- Familiarity with BMC Remedy, Service Now, or another ticketing platform
- Customer‑focused, patient, and comfortable supporting different personalities
- Honest about technical knowledge and willing to ask questions or seek guidance
- Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
- Collaborative and comfortable working alongside a close-knit field support team
- Adaptable and eager to learn through hands‑on training and structured learning modules
Location:
San Ramon, CA, transitioning to a new Pleasanton, CA facility
Work Model:
Fully onsite with a dedicated workspace
Device upgrades will typically be completed at company offices for security and liability purposes; no residential visits are required
Some travel to other company facilities throughout the Bay Area may be needed
The analyst will work closely with three onsite team members and a broader 15‑person regional support team
Compensation & BenefitsPay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $32.00 and $37.70 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good‑faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
