Inspector II

Akkodis is seeking an Inspector II for a contract with a client in San Ramon, CA
. This role performs detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of incoming materials in a regulated FDA/ISO 13485 environment.

NOTE:

Shift: 1:30 pm to 10 pm

Rate Range: $26/hour to $28/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Perform visual inspection of incoming materials using microscopes up to 30× magnification.
• Conduct dimensional and functional measurements using calipers, micrometers, gages, and CMM equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T to evaluate product conformity.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain documentation in accordance with FDA/ISO 13485 requirements.
• Identify and document non‑conformances in the Non‑Conforming Material Review system.
• Support FAI, GR&R, and other quality assurance activities as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework or vocational training in metrology or quality inspection is preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspection in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gages, microscopes (up to 30×), and basic CMM operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T, with excellent documentation practices in compliance with FDA/ISO 13485 quality systems.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
