Assistant Shop Manager - San Ramon, CA

Job Summary

As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will support the Shop Manager to achieve sales targets, maintain customer service excellence, and ensure smooth daily operations at the Magnolia Square location. The role requires leadership, teamwork, and operational effectiveness.

• Assist the Shop Manager in leading the retail team and fostering a sales- and customer-focused environment.
• Achieve daily, monthly, and annual sales goals.
• Communicate and implement company direction, policies, and programs.
• Delegate tasks, ensure compliance, and provide follow‑up.
• Resolve customer and employee concerns professionally and timely.
• Train and develop team members on company programs, policies, and procedures.
• Recruit qualified candidates and assist in hiring activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, ethical standards, and safety protocols.
• Monitor and control expenses to meet budgetary goals.
• Support cash handling procedures, protect company assets, and handle banking.
• Maintain accurate time‑keeping records and approve weekly payroll.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and break laws.
• Create and implement weekly work schedules with the Shop Manager and District Sales Managers.
• Manage paperwork such as banking, new hire documentation, and inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 1 year of retail management experience.
• Demonstrated success in developing, motivating, training, and coaching employees.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, cash handling, and merchandising skills.
• Ability to follow, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Strong work performance and initiative to grow sales opportunities.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change proactively.
• Physical ability to carry out essential functions, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Internal applicants must be in good standing.

$24.87 per hour.
