Biomedical Technician Apprentice

Responsibilities

• respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on basic biomedical equipment
• drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence
• support customers in hospitals and clinical settings
• document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule
• maintain approved parts inventory
• manage vendor's service delivery processes in compliance with GEHC policies
• enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment

• AS, BS degree, military education, certificate program, current student with less than 12 months from completion OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• High school diploma/GED with demonstrated work experience, or a completed AS or BS degree strongly preferred.
• Experience in customer facing role(s).
• Experience interfacing both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
• Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
• Strong customer communication skills.
• Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.
