Job Description:

The teacher will prepare detailed weekly lesson plans aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards, provide individual and small‑group instruction, manage classroom behavior, keep accurate records, and collaborate with colleagues and the district to support student progress and comply with all applicable laws and policies.

• Establish and implement classroom procedures designed to maximize student learning.
• Prepare detailed weekly written lesson plans and submit them to the principal.
• Comply with and fully implement all Individualized Education Plans and behavioral or academic interventions.
• Maintain an organized classroom, including physical arrangement, student records, and materials.
• Handle routine classroom discipline fairly.
• Assist administration in implementing all student‑life policies and conduct rules.
• Attend required meetings and conferences, including professional development and planning.
• Maintain complete and accurate student records (attendance, performance, discipline).
• Provide professional and regular feedback to students and parents through notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
• Use formative and summative data to guide instruction, plan interventions, and communicate progress to parents.
• Provide individualized and small‑group instruction, adapting the curriculum as needed.
• Provide a technology‑enriched environment to support student learning.
• Remain available to students and parents for education‑related purposes outside instructional hours.
• Plan and coordinate teacher assistants, parents, and volunteers in the classroom and field trips.
• Collaborate with other professionals to improve student academic progress.
• Provide distance learning as necessary.
• Perform all other tasks as a supervisor may assign.

• Abide by state statutes, school board policies, and regulations.
• Attend meetings and perform duties assigned by administrators or supervisors.
• Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and district policy.
• Serve on committees as assigned.
• Remain current on instructional practices, including instructional technology.

• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Assigned Subject(s) and Elementary Certification.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and board policies.
