Sand Springs Public Schools is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to provide essential instructional support in the absence of our regular classroom teachers. As a Substitute Teacher, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring students continue to thrive academically and socially.
What You'll Do:
- Inspire and Engage:
Implement pre-planned lessons and activities with energy and creativity, fostering a stimulating and supportive classroom atmosphere. - Facilitate Learning:
Guide students through daily assignments, answer questions, and provide assistance to ensure comprehension and progress. - Maintain Continuity:
Uphold classroom routines and school policies, contributing to a stable and predictable learning environment for students. - Manage with Care:
Cultivate a respectful and inclusive classroom, employing positive behavior management techniques to encourage student cooperation and focus. - Collaborate and Communicate:
Effectively communicate with school staff regarding student progress, classroom observations, and any pertinent information. - Be a Positive Role Model:
Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to student success.

Qualifications:
- For Certified Candidates:
Valid state teaching license/certification (please specify relevant subject areas if applicable). - For non-certified candidates, a high school diploma or GED is required. Some college coursework preferred. Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
- Certified and Non-Certified Candidates:
Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting (paid for by the applicant). - Certified
- Hourly Pay $100.00 daily - Non-Certified
- Hourly Pay $80.00 daily - Support Employee
- Hourly Pay $10.00 hourly (varies 7 to 7.5 hours daily, per position)
