7th Grade Mathematics Teacher – Clyde Boyd Middle School (2026‑2027)

Location: 305 West 35 Street, Sand Springs, OK 74063

Reports to: Principal Dakota Nealy

Employment Type: Full‑Time (180 days, 7 hours daily)

Starting Date: Aug 17, 2026

Create a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with pupils; motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for education following each pupil’s ability; and establish good relationships with parents and staff.

• Teach middle school mathematics and other course of study.
• Instruct pupils in citizenship and other essential subject matter per district law and regulations.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; provide individualized and small‑group instruction.
• Translate lesson plans into effective learning experiences.
• Utilize grading patterns fairly and based on criteria.
• Maintain standards of pupil behavior and treat pupils with respect and dignity.
• Evaluate pupil academic and social growth; keep records and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate with parents through conferences and other means.
• Interact positively and professionally with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Identify pupil needs and cooperate with staff in coaching or remediation.
• Maintain professional competence through in‑service and self‑selected growth activities.
• Supervise and monitor students during out‑of‑classroom activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Stand, walk, twist neck and trunk; bend and reach overhead.
• Repeated use of fingers and handsto grasp/operate equipment and demonstrate lessons.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lb; ability to administer CPR.

• Hold proper state certification (Intermediate or Advanced Mathematics) or OSBI background check.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Oklahoma Teaching Certification in listed mathematics subjects or Alternative Teaching Certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Work cooperatively, demonstrate self‑discipline, initiative, and follow state and district guidelines.
