As a Mechanical Engineer at Webco, you'll be at the center of operations-working closely with production, quality, and leadership teams to improve performance, efficiency, and safety.
You will:
- Analyze and improve production processes, equipment, and workflows
- Design and implement solutions that enhance safety, quality, and cost efficiency
- Lead and support process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and work measurement to establish standards
- Use data and engineering principles to identify root causes and solve problems
- Develop reports with clear, actionable recommendations
- Support facility layout, material flow, and manpower optimization
- Partner cross-functionally to improve production performance and reduce waste
- Develop and maintain SOPs and support quality and audit initiatives
- Train and support teams on new processes and improvements
- Monitor results and drive continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Engineering Technology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Manufacturing or industrial experience
- Experience with process improvement or continuous improvement methodologies

This role splits time between office and plant floor. You'll be hands-on in a dynamic manufacturing setting, with:
- Exposure to equipment, noise, and production activity
- Required PPE in plant areas (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
- Physical activity including walking, standing, and occasional lifting
