Designer/Drafter II

We are seeking an experienced Designer/Drafter II to develop detailed fabrication drawings and bills of materials for shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, towers, and related industrial equipment. This role requires prior experience with industrial equipment design, proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Solid Works, and the ability to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure accurate, code-compliant fabrication documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Review customer specifications, engineering packages, and project documentation to identify fabrication requirements
• Create detailed fabrication drawings for shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, towers, and related equipment
• Develop part drawings, layouts, and fabrication details using AutoCAD and/or Solid Works
• Generate complete bills of materials (BOMs) to support purchasing and manufacturing
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and fabrication standards
• Verify and check fabrication drawings completed by other drafters for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure designs comply with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 requirements and applicable industry standards
• Revise drawings and documentation as project requirements change
• Maintain accurate drawing revisions and project documentation
• Perform other drafting and design duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
• Formal training and demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience designing or detailing shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, or similar industrial equipment
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 fabrication standards preferred
• Experience with RCS software is a plus
• Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
• Occasional standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 20 pounds
• Work performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, full-time
