A Rail Products Company in Sand Springs is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to inspect and package heat-forged rail track spikes according to customer and industry standards. The Inspector/Packer will split time evenly between inspection and packaging duties
, rotating on a formal schedule. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
, and a commitment to maintaining quality and consistency in a fast-paced production environment.
Inspection Duties (50%)
- Visually examine forged spikes for surface defects
, including cracks, pits, laps, discoloration, excessive scale, or deformation. - Use fixed or preset gauges to verify spike dimensions and head shape.
- Monitor conveyor line to prevent or clear jams and maintain steady production flow.
Packaging Duties (50%)
- Operate automated filler equipment
, ensuring each container meets proper weight requirements
. - Adjust and calibrate load scales as necessary.
- Manually position and transfer filled containers to pallets.
- Label containers with product information and maintain accurate production records
.
- Occasionally operate a forklift to move palletized kegs to the dock, shrink-wrap station, or temporary storage areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
. - Willingness to perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and gauges
. - Forklift experience preferred (training may be provided).
- Strong work ethic and dependability.
