Summary / Objective
The Assembly Technician I is responsible for making sure all parts are assembled correctly before passing on to final test.
Essential Functions- Read and interpret P& and blueprints.
- Cut and thread piping.
- Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch.
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of pipe fittings, valves, and switches.
- Operate a forklift and crane.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Thoroughness.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentNon‑temperature‑controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles common in metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment, including noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA‑compliant safety boots or shoes.
Physical DemandsStanding for long periods, walking, reaching, ascending/descending ladders, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkFull‑time. Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TravelNo travel is required for this position.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED). 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training. Possession of strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
