Project Overview &

Description:

In line with operational excellence, developing a standardized system is key for process and quality control. The project involves refining existing Control Plans for mill #2 and #3.

Project Description & Deliverables:

• Develop a robust decision tree for mill #3 regarding quality, productivity, and equipment preservation; this decision tree could become the prompt for automated process control with a machine learning tool.
• Create work instructions for activities that have caused quality complaints.
• Learn about the quality tools used to develop a control plan and subsequent documents.
• Apply college knowledge with support from plant staff to bring improvements and learn how to translate them into I3 Savings.

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant field, e.g., Industrial Engineering/Management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and collaboration ability.
• Leadership experience in school clubs, sports teams, or work projects.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Competitive wages for the role, reflecting location, student classification, and major. Remote support not indicated. Priority for full-time positions upon successful completion and graduation.
