$40,000 - $75,000 / year depending on experience
The role of an automotive service writer is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and the efficient operation of automotive service departments. It requires a blend of technical knowledge, customer service skills, and administrative abilities to succeed in this dynamic and rewarding career.
Responsibilities- Greet customers and document vehicle issues.
- Provide repair and maintenance recommendations.
- Estimate costs for labor and parts.
- Schedule appointments and update customers on vehicle status.
- Handle payments, invoices, and customer inquiries.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic automotive knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
