Childcare Teacher Part Time

Kaniksu Community Health is a non-profit, award winning Community Health Center that provides integrated, team-based healthcare in north Idaho.

The Kaniksu Community Health Kid’s Club provides affordable on-site childcare to the children of our team members. Our Kid’s Club, which is housed in a newly opened, purpose built, state of the art building, provides a fun, safe, nurturing environment where children between the ages of 0-5years are encouraged to learn and develop key skills through play based activities. Our team of dedicated Childcare teachers provide a child centric approach to care in accordance with appropriate Idaho state provider: child ratio requirements.

KCH Kid's Club is seeking a reliable, caring Childcare Teacher to support our classrooms during daily lunch coverage. This position plays an important role in maintaining safe, consistent care for children while lead teachers take their scheduled breaks.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values teamwork, and is confident managing a classroom independently for short periods of time.

Responsibilities:

• Cover 3–4 lunch breaks daily across various age groups
• Supervise and engage children in a safe, positive learning environment
• Manage a classroom independently for up to one hour at a time
• Follow established classroom routines and expectations
• Support a culture of kindness, safety, and teamwork

Experience Needed to Land this Gig:

• High School or equivalent required
• Experience working with children (formal or informal experience welcome)
• Ability to confidently manage a classroom independently
• Warm, patient, and dependable personality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different age groups and classroom settings

Please note:

This position will require a state and federal background check to be completed and registration with Idaho STARS.

Work Schedule:

Part Time

No. of Hours - 20/week

Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

There may be opportunities for additional hours from time to time, if desired.
