Team HighlightsKootenai Clinic is the regional cancer treatment center for northern Idaho, eastern Washington, and western Montana. We deliver comprehensive, compassionate cancer care using leading-edge technology, the newest therapies and a wide range of clinical trials as well as rehabilitation. To minimize the difficulties patients, face traveling during treatment,our doctorsoffer cancer treatment in three locations:
Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, and Sandpoint.
- Serves as an essential link between patients and all other medical staff
- Facilitates appointments for consults and support services within established service standards, including social workers, dietitians and physicians
- Coordinates multidisciplinary planning conferences, develops concise patient summaries for use by the care team and documents recommendations made utilizing standardized care protocols in accordance with nationally recognized care guidelines
- Develops patient education programs and tools
- Follows patients throughout the care continuum, including inpatient admissions and collaborates with inpatient care management resources
- Adheres to established productivity benchmarks; identifies opportunities to reduce the cost of care
- Responsible for outreach efforts to establish and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Minimum Requirements
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
- Licensed as a RN by the Idaho Board of Nursing OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the multi-state privilege to practice compact with Idaho
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Certification within specialty area required within one year of meeting qualifications
- BLS required
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
- Repetitive movements
