Job TitleSupplier Quality Engineer
Role OverviewDaher is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE). This role ensures that all parts and materials supplied meet the stringent quality, safety, and regulatory requirements of the aerospace industry. The SQE manages supplier quality performance, conducts audits, drives corrective actions, and partners cross‑functionally to ensure compliance with FAA, Type Design, and Daher Kodiak standards.

- Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and Daher Kodiak requirements
- Evaluate and qualify new suppliers; maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards
- Define Quality Assurance Supplemental Requirements for Purchase Orders
- Review supplier quality documentation, including First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Develop and monitor supplier quality KPIs; initiate corrective actions as needed
- Grant or revoke Supplier Inspection Authority or Delegated Inspection Authority
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Investigate supplier quality escapes and non‑conformances
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and support continuous improvement
- Maintain documentation related to supplier audits, performance, and quality metrics
- Prepare supplier scorecards, reports, and performance reviews
- Support supplier quality improvement and on‑time delivery initiatives
- Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams
- Support new product development by ensuring supplier capability and compliance
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations (including 14 CFR Part 21) and Daher Kodiak requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience required
- AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards
- FAA regulations, including 14 CFR Part 21
- Manufacturing processes, materials, and aerospace supply chains
- Strong analytical, auditing, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and supplier relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with quality tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, and 8D preferred
- AS9100 Lead Auditor certification
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification
- Experience with supplier development or process improvement initiatives
- Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required
The compensation range is $80,000 to $105,000 in base salary plus an annual target bonus. Any prospective offer will take into account the overall experience the successful candidate brings to the role.
