Position: Trust Structuring Specialist (In Training)

Our client, is seeking an LLB Graduate to join the Trust Department, providing legal and administrative support in the management and administration of trusts and deceased estates. The role offers practical exposure within a fiduciary environment while supporting professional development through completion of a Postgraduate Diploma in Trust Administration and Deceased Estates.

The successful candidate will be supported in completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Trust Administration and Deceased Estates, enabling the development of specialized expertise and long-term career growth within the fiduciary services field.

This role offers strong long-term career growth and attractive earning potential as professional competence and fiduciary responsibilities increase.

MUST BE FLUENT IN AFRIKAANS - VERBAL & WRITING AS THE MAJORITY OF THEIR CLIENTS ARE AFRIKAANS

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the formation, registration, and administration of trusts
  • Support the administration of deceased estates in compliance with applicable legislation
  • Draft basic legal documents, resolutions, and correspondence
  • Prepare documentation for submission to the Master of the High Court
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Trust Property Control Act and Administration of Estates Act
  • Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing of trust and estate documentation
  • Provide general legal and administrative support to the Trust Department
  • LLB Degree (recent graduate)
  • Strong academic record
  • Interest in trusts, estates, and fiduciary services
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ethical judgement and confidentiality
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
