Information and Records Management Intern About Description

The Information and Records Intern will assist with various IRM and Compliance duties within the organization. The role will contribute to enhancing compliance, operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and digital transformation. The intern will ensure records are systematically arranged, preserved, and accessible, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Assist with the appraisal and disposition of public records
• Assist with setting up Registries (Records Management Units and Records Centre storages)
• Assist with retrieving documents from offsite storage
• Assist with requests from Archives (Offsite storage)
• Assist with updating document registers in the in-house document facility
• Assist with IRM regulatory requirements and controls
• Assist in maintaining Registries (Records Management Units and Records Centre storages)
• Assist with establishing standards and controls for archiving and retrieving records while ensuring compliance with external audits and legislative frameworks
• Provide input into monthly reports
• Complete system-related administrative documents and save them in Sasnet
• Provide support for purchase requisitions and invoice processing for IRM

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) in Library Science, Information Science, or a related Records Management qualification
