Wild Earth seeks a professional field guide and presenter for a full-time role combining on-camera wildlife broadcasting and safari guiding in some of Africas most iconic ecosystems. You will present live safaris to a global audience — while also working as a private safari guide between broadcast rotations.

The role

Live presenting

Professional safari guiding

Conservation storytelling

4 weeks on (field broadcast)

Host live safari drives

Interpret wildlife behaviour and ecology on camera

Work alongside camera operators and production crew

Engage a global audience in real time

Present from South Africas Greater Kruger, the Waterberg , the Eastern Cape and Kenyas Masai Mara.

4 weeks off

Guide safaris professionally for Wild Earth Travel (40 - 50 days per year)

Who were looking for

Essential

A minimum of 3+ years professional guiding experience in a high-end safari camp

In exceptional cases, we will consider candidates with less guiding experience if they have substantial research or academic experience.

Proven experience hosting discerning international guests and delivering premium, personalised wildlife experiences

Strong natural history knowledge and confident bush skills

Excellent command of the English language

A clear, engaging communicator with a unique, enthusiastic, professional on-camera presence

Working knowledge of professional photographic cameras

Comfortable creating and sharing content across social media platforms

Reliable, composed and capable of operating to broadcast standards under live conditions

Team player

Physically fit/ healthy

Preferred

Understanding of live or fast-turnaround production environments

Experience with in luxury hospitality or premium safari operations

The mindset

Professional, polished and guest-focused

Naturally enthusiastic and energetic in the field

Curious about wildlife and passionate about sharing knowledge

Comfortable speaking to both intimate guest groups and a global audience

Eager to learn, grow and develop as a wildlife broadcaster

Package

Start date - ~1 June 2026

Full-time permanent position

4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation

40 - 50 days of private safari guiding annually

Travel and field expenses covered
