Financial Accounting Supervisor | JHB

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business
• Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal controls
• Manage audit requirements and liaise with external auditors
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies within the finance function
• Support senior management with financial planning and strategic initiatives

• BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualification
• 5+ years' experience in a finance role, with supervisory or team leadership exposure
• Experience preparing management accounts and overseeing the full finance function
• Strong understanding of IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with in Telecommunications, Technology, ICT, or a fast-paced commercial environment will be highly advantageous
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
