Assistant Financial Manager | R550,000 – R650,000 per annum

A leading and rapidly growing telecommunications company based in Sandton is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Manager to join their dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Support the Financial Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to management
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury-related functions
• Drive process improvements and enhance internal financial controls
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior finance staff where required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years' post-articles or relevant finance experience

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working in a telecommunications, technology, or fast-paced commercial environment will be highly advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Pay range and compensation package
