Position: Business Area Lead: Large Business & International Sector

Job Description

A leading organisation is searching for a Business Area Lead – Large Business & International (LBI) Sector. This executive-level role requires a commercially astute leader who can formulate tactical strategy, drive operational excellence, and strengthen compliance within a complex, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sector-wide tactical strategy aligned to revenue objectives and compliance targets.

Lead multi-disciplinary teams servicing corporate and multinational tax entities.

Analyse revenue potential and align internal resource deployment to maximise performance outcomes.

Oversee risk assessments, audits, enforcement objectives, and sector compliance initiatives.

Manage stakeholder engagement across internal and external environments.

Direct budgeting, financial controls, and cost optimisation within the business area.

Translate strategy into measurable delivery plans, driving performance, accountability, and service excellence.

Foster a high-performance culture that promotes integrity, governance, and operational integration.

Requirements:

BCom (Hons) in Taxation with 10–12 years’ experience in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams within a corporate or multinational tax environment, including 3–4 years at management level;
or Relevant Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF
7) with 12–15 years’ related experience, including 3–4 years at management level.

Strong expertise in tax compliance, revenue management, risk governance, and operational leadership.

Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution within a regulated environment.

High levels of integrity, accountability, and results orientation.
