The Role:
Sales Manager
As Sales Manager, your mission will be to drive revenue across luxury accommodation and destination management services (DMC) through strategic sales efforts and market engagement. Youll work closely with international sales teams, manage key relationships, represent the brand at global trade shows, and ensure alignment with financial targets and brand values. This role combines business development, sales leadership, and strategic thinking to grow market share in a competitive, high-end travel sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive aggressive revenue growth targets across both bed and DMC sales
- Represent the brand at international sales events and trade shows
- Guide the development of proposals and conduct persuasive presentations
- Identify and penetrate new markets through strategic action plans
- Monitor sales team performance, coach for development, and ensure consistent communication
- Maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with marketing to align sales strategies with brand objectives
- Ensure expense controls align with budget targets
- Promote a culture of health, safety, and adherence to company policies
About You
- 5+ years experience in luxury travel sales, including 2+ years in a management capacity
- Background in Africa DMC operations or luxury tourism products preferred
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience in global sales environments, with exposure to digital/e-commerce trends
- Excellent understanding of client needs, market trends, and supplier relations
- High-level communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative leader with a mentoring mindset
- Willingness to travel regularly and operate across global markets
- Relevant degree or diploma will be advantageous
