About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Agricultural Consultant to provide expert advisory services to agricultural businesses in and around Sandton . This role demands a deep understanding of modern farming techniques, financial management, and market trends within the agricultural sector. You will work with clients to develop strategic plans, improve operational efficiency, and enhance profitability. This senior position offers the opportunity to shape the future of agricultural enterprises in Gauteng and beyond, contributing your expertise to sustainable and profitable farming.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of agricultural operations, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
- Develop customized strategic plans and business recommendations for clients to improve productivity, sustainability, and profitability.
- Provide expert advice on crop selection, soil management, pest control, and water resource management .
- Assist clients with financial planning, budgeting, and securing agricultural investments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in agriculture .
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with a portfolio of agricultural clients.
- Master's degree or PhD in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in agricultural consulting, farm management, or a related senior role.
- Exceptional knowledge of diverse agricultural systems and practices.
- Strong understanding of agricultural economics, market analysis, and financial modeling.
- Excellent client management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and provide strategic direction.
