Industrial Electrician

About the Role

Our client seeks a certified and experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain the electrical systems of their production facility in Sandton . This critical role involves ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all electrical equipment, machinery, and power distribution systems. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on complex industrial electrical systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial electrical codes, safety procedures, and be adept at diagnosing and resolving electrical faults in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and control panels in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and prevent failures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and provide timely repairs.

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with relevant trade certification.
• Proven experience working with industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and control circuits.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, safety practices, and national electrical codes.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical problems efficiently.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
