Westshore Periodontics and Dental Implants is seeking a Treatment Coordinator to support our specialty periodontal and implant practice. In this role, you will guide patients through their treatment journey-explaining recommended procedures, coordinating schedules, and reviewing financial options and insurance coverage. You will serve as a key liaison between patients and the clinical team, ensuring clear communication, accurate records, and an organized schedule.

This position requires strong dental knowledge, attention to detail, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach aligned with our culture of clinical excellence and ethical care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate treatment plans and financial arrangements with patients for periodontal and implant procedures
  • Serve as primary patient liaison, explaining recommended treatments, timelines, and pre/post-op requirements
  • Schedule and manage appointments, surgical blocks, and follow-up visits to optimize provider time
  • Verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and provide accurate cost estimates
  • Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and treatment notes in practice management software
  • Collaborate closely with periodontists, assistants, and front office to ensure seamless patient experience
  • Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions
  • Track case progress and follow up with patients to support acceptance and completion of treatment
  • Handle patient inquiries by phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and empathy
  • Support practice workflows, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
