Qualifications
Briar Middle School is seeking
- Valid Ohio teaching license and properly credentialed for the position.
- Knowledge of middle-level State Standards
- Experience with individualized instruction
- Able to develop and implement IEPs with parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Background in reading and math interventions
- Collaborative skills to work with growth-minded, culture-first people.
- Ability to build relationships with students in all school settings, including the classroom, lunchroom, recess, activity period, and hallways.
- Support the school district's mission and vision for goals and outcomes.
- Actively teach, learn, and interact with students during 50-minute periods.
- Proficient with Apple and Google-based platforms and tools.
- Conduct informal assessments (fluency, decoding, phonemic awareness, comprehension) and behavioral progress.
- CPI Trained (recommended)
- Knowledge and understanding of RIMP implementation and support
- Basic Behavioral management skills
- Understanding of the Science of Reading and Adolescent Literacy.
