The Catholic Parishes of Sandusky, Ohio - 3 dynamic parishes on the southern shores of Lake Erie that are connected to a fast‑growing and energetic pre‑K through grade 12 school - is looking for a FULL‑TIME MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTER to make life‑long disciples of Jesus Christ who are alive in their Catholic faith.
The individual must be a faithful, practicing and high‑energy Catholic, eager to work who strives to guide junior high school students into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. A strong foundation in Catholic theology and/or catechetics and a solid prayer life, coupled with a boldness in sharing the Gospel will make the person in this position successful. Utilizing Life Teen's "Edge" resources and working as a team with our Youth/Young Adult Minister and the Sandusky Central Catholic School's Campus Minister, this person will encourage and help make Jesus first in the lives of our younger parishioners.
Candidates must demonstrate a clear understanding of the Catholic faith and a deep passion for sharing it with others. Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills are needed, as well as firm knowledge of adolescent and young adult culture. The position requires a clear understanding of relational ministry in order to make youth meetings, retreats, conferences, service projects and other events successful.
Full‑Time (25‑30 hours per week); great salary; healthcare, vision, dental, and retirement benefits; and yearly pass to Cedar Point (yes, we’re the parishes for the biggest roller coaster park in the world!).
