Overview

Accountant – Regional Financial Accounting will be responsible for carrying out the financial accounting activities of the company under the guidance of the Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, and Corporate Directors. The role includes executing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and preparing financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support.

Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicate financial results to management, and prepare budgets.

Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable.

Prepare and submit monthly reports.

Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

Interact with internal and external auditors during audits.

Make entries and reconcile financials.

Use JD Edwards and Oracle systems for financial management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
Experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar financial software.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (GAAP).
Experience with general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to create and present detailed reports.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.
