Classified ad postings from OML member municipalities are free of charge. Member municipalities are asked to limit submissions to no more than two active classified ads at a time. Provide day-to-day management and training to the Division of Code Compliance. To guide implementation of code compliance, zoning and nuisance initiatives and ensure residential and dwelling unit compliance with all applicable housing, zoning and nuisance codes. Manage implementation and inspection of the rental and transient rental registration programs.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of applicable codes, ordinances and lay knowledge of construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret housing, zoning and nuisance codes
- Ability to perform all necessary inspections
- Must be able to work with a team in and out of the field
- Ability to work with the general public, property owners, tenants, investors, contractors, and unions in a firm, but respectful manner
- Familiarity with federal, state and local wage rate compliance regulations required
High School graduate or Equivalent
Minimum of two years of experience in the field of housing, zoning and nuisance inspections, construction, government housing programs, or any combination of experiences that would render the knowledge, ability and skills needed for the position.
OR an equivalent level of education and supervisory experience
Salary: $60K - $80K annually, with benefits.
