Traveling outpatient dietitian delivers nutritional care and counseling to hospital patients over a 13-week assignment in Sandusky, Ohio. The role conducts assessments, develops plans, and collaborates with medical staff to ensure proper diet implementation and patient progress.
Key Responsibilities:Provide nutritional care and counseling to outpatient hospital patients, assessing individual dietary needs.
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, review medical records, and develop tailored dietary plans.
Collaborate with medical staff and food service personnel to ensure accurate diet implementation and patient education.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting dietary interventions as necessary according to clinical guidelines.
Review and approve cycle menus and diet orders, serving as a resource for food service staff in dietary planning and patient nutrition.
Bachelor's degree in Medical Dietetics and/or Nutrition
Registered Dietitian license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of personal automobile liability insurance
At least 2 years inpatient clinical dietitian experience
Familiarity with nutrition assessment and dietary planning
Ability to work 40 hours per week
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a hospital setting
Skills:
Experience in hospital outpatient settings preferred
