Traveling outpatient dietitian delivers nutritional care and counseling to hospital patients over a 13-week assignment in Sandusky, Ohio. The role conducts assessments, develops plans, and collaborates with medical staff to ensure proper diet implementation and patient progress.

• Provide nutritional care and counseling to outpatient hospital patients, assessing individual dietary needs.

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, review medical records, and develop tailored dietary plans.

• Collaborate with medical staff and food service personnel to ensure accurate diet implementation and patient education.

• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting dietary interventions as necessary according to clinical guidelines.

• Review and approve cycle menus and diet orders, serving as a resource for food service staff in dietary planning and patient nutrition.

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Dietetics and/or Nutrition

• Registered Dietitian license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure

• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of personal automobile liability insurance

• At least 2 years inpatient clinical dietitian experience

• Familiarity with nutrition assessment and dietary planning

• Ability to work 40 hours per week

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting

• Experience in hospital outpatient settings preferred
