Lead the pharmacy services at a respected inpatient hospital with a pivotal leadership role overseeing two key locations. This opportunity offers a 13-week contract with strong intent for direct hire, perfect for an experienced pharmacy professional ready to make a strategic impact.

Work Schedule:

  • Weekdays with potential on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of 32 direct reports across multiple hospital locations.
  • Collaborate closely with administration, department heads, and medical staff to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, staffing, and capital expenditure projections.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment, evaluation, counseling, and disciplinary processes.
  • Direct education programs for pharmacy residents, students, and allied health professionals.
  • Serve on Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees and participate in professional organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and regulatory agencies such as FDA, DEA, OSHA, and state boards.
  • Partner with senior leadership to navigate healthcare changes and strategically position the pharmacy department for future growth.
  • Utilize Meditech for order entry and Pyxis for pharmacy automation management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution; M.S. or M.B.A. preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within a progressive medical center pharmacy.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in complex financial and operational analysis.
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License and State of Ohio drivers license with auto insurance.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and organizational policy adherence.
