Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Business Manager role based in Sandusky, OH. The Business Manager oversees dealership financial and administrative operations, including processing sales contracts, coordinating customer financing and insurance products, and ensuring accurate documentation for all boat and yacht transactions. Daily responsibilities include working closely with sales and service teams to support revenue goals, preparing and reviewing deal jackets, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and managing receivables and payables related to sales activities.
The Business Manager is expected to build strong relationships with customers, lenders, and internal stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism, high level profit generatjon, and customer service.
- Experience in financial and business operations, including deal structuring, budgeting, and basic accounting practices.
- Background in customer-facing roles with strong skills in relationship management, negotiation, and consultative communication.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, financial reporting tools).
- Knowledge of consumer lending, F&I (finance and insurance) products, and compliance requirements in a retail or dealership environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, service, and corporate teams while upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Previous experience in marine, automotive, powersports, or luxury retail industries is beneficial
