SUMMARY: Individuals in the position are responsible for assembling industrial machinery, equipment, and subassemblies according to blueprints, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to understand the assembly process.
Assemble machines, equipment, and subassemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
Meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Align and calibrate machinery and components for efficient and safe operation.
Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble and fit parts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform required quality checks.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to pass a pre-employment math and measurement test.
Proficiency with measuring equipment and ability to read mechanical drawings with minimal assistance, interpret dimensional tolerances, and measure accurately to 1/16”.
Knowledge of power transmission components and best practices for assembly.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly diagrams.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to meet production deadlines and work overtime as required.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years' experience in mechanical equipment assembly preferred.
